This original oil work is painted on a 'box' canvas with deep sides that are painted, and glided to match the painting, so no need to frame! Depicting a young boy playing on a wooden pipe to a curious kitten, the work contrasts quite fine detail on the figures, with a more loosely blocked in background - and the edges are decorated with distressed-effect 22 carat gold leaf, giving a feel of the faded grandeur of the old Italian cities.
